N & E had the most wonderful wedding at St Marys Church in Penmark, where many of her family (including her parents) wed, followed by a reception at the stunning St Donats Castle. From the moment I met this pair at their engagement shoot I knew they were going to have the best day. How did I know that? Because the humour and happiness that these two brought out in each other in the first hour we spent together meant that their wedding guests were going to absorb the same good feelings. Happy couple, happy guests - it's a very true phenomenon, ask any wedding photographer or wedding videographer!
The weather the day before promised heavy rain and I packed my waterproof camera covers. Thank goodness that the weathermen couldn't have been more wrong. No rain in sight, and as soon as we all got to St Donats Castle the blue sky started to emerge from under the clouds. Someone very special was working their magic for them, that's for sure.
As soon as I arrived at bridal prep the atmosphere was one of calm, with a hint of excitement. The ladies breakfasted on yummy looking platters from Little Pickers Grazing Tables, and flowers were delivered from Hilary West Florist. Hair and make-up was in full swing, from Georgina Bray.
Once they were all ready, in perfect time, E put on her stunning Pronovias gown from Allison Jayne Bridal and they jumped in their wedding transport - including a vintage navy & cream Jaguar.
During their ceremony, the pair couldn't stop grinning at each other and I felt privileged that I got a front row seat to their happiness. They were like a pair of cheshire cats.
At St Donats, guests were treated to lawn games including croquet, horseshoe tossing and badminton, and later on to music from Boutique Disco. The speeches, well, what can I say, they were emotional. Even I welled up. The wedding breakfast was supplied by Town & Country Catering, and it was absolutely delicious.

Emily's top tip to couples who are starting their wedding journey - Everyone on the day is there for you, because they love you so don't sweat the small stuff. Also, do things your own way!
